Johnson offers three model series for shredding loaf and block sizes from 5#'s to 40#'s and for all volume levels. Each Johnson shredder is designed for whole loaf & block reduction as well as for simultaneous shredding and blending of two or more types of cheeses.

 

Whole 5 to 10# loaves of Mozz, Cheddar type and Italian hard cheeses, or combinations of either, can be easily processed without pre-cubing with the dual sided CJ-1800TT-2 shredder. It is the industry’s most heavy-duty machine for its entry level to low volume purpose, capable of up to 2400 pounds per hour.

The CJ-1800TT-2 can be utilized to dispense shredded product into tote pans to be carried on to further processing; or prior to packaging, it can be followed by our “Quick-clean” CJ-5000C conveyor, one of two available anti-cake dispensers and the gentle blending CJ-6000TB tumble barrel. The Mini-Line can feed a variety of weigh/bag methods from manual to semi-auto lineal scales with vacuum sealers, to fully automatic combinational scales and  F/F/S machines.

Originally designed to process 20# LMPS or whole milk Mozz loaves without the need to pre-cube, the CJ-7200 standard and HD models are also ideal for blending Mozz with any Cheddar type or hard cheese. Pizza blends can be thoroughly mixed by feeding 5#, 10# and 20#’s into the side-by-side containment centers. In all Johnson shredder models, the shred length can be determined by the spacing of the crosscut blades, width by the interchangeable shred discs and thickness by the variable speed pusher. This machine meets the mid-volume requirements of shred producers at capacities of up to 7200 lbs./hr. with superior product uniformity.

Johnson pioneered whole 40 lb. block shredding with the CJ-9600. The original version allowed Cheddar type cheeses to be processed by either manual feeding or by the “Auto-load” infeed system for volumes reaching 12,000 lbs./hr. Ever-increasing demands for shredding of LMPS and whole milk Mozzarella pizza cheese, Italian hard cheese, as well as multiple pizza blends have resulted in rapid upgrades to the capabilities in the CJ-9600 series. Forty horsepower strength and dual-sided containment centers in the current Model CJ-9600-2 now meet all those requirements

The fully automatic “Auto-Load” infeed system of 40#’s plus the left-hand feeding of any variety of blend cheeses enables computer controlled blending of virtually any combination. Left-hand containment centers are available for single 20#’s, multiple 5#’s & 10#’s or trim & off-cuts. The Models CJ-9600 & CJ-9600-2 enable customers to supply their marketplace with shred profiles of 1/2" down to 3/16" half-moon, 3/32" “angel hair” and even 1/16" “ghost” shred.

Our exclusive fines prevention feature in the shredding heads of CJ-9600 series minimizes costly fines to less than 2%. This variety in product profile, along with total control of all three shred dimensions, makes the CJ-9600 series the industry’s most versatile medium to ultra-high volume shred system worldwide.
